It’s often said that Australia’s proximity to Asia gives it an advantage for doing business in the region. However a set mindset and lack of cultural capability means the opportunity is slipping away.

“So there’s often a business case where there’s an opportunity in Asia and a small team actually starts working. And then there are some initial failures, but we don’t progress past failures very well, to actually realize the opportunity.”
