Submission to the Australian government's Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040

Years of talking with business and Australian trade organisations has taught us one clear fact.

Australian businesses struggle to operate in countries that are culturally different to what they are used to, including markets in Southeast Asia. There are many reasons for this and cultural capability is a large part of it.  It is too challenging for many to understand the culture that drives business in these markets and develop the mindset required to succeed.

You could argue they are too used to doing business “their way”.

Australian business people are friendly and keen but generally don’t develop and maintain a long term business opportunity. The government is looking at how to improve this.

Bisnis Asia offers its suggestions in our submission to the Australian government’s Southeast Asia economic strategy to 2040.  Read more on the link below.
